Since the early 1900's, this fourth - generation family of coffee growers continue their mission of working as sustainably as possible to provide good quality of life for its workers and community.
Our 100% Arabica beans are shade grown, sun dried, and most importantly only the ripest beans are hand picked. The coffee comes from Cerro Datanli - El Diablo Nature Reserve (Devil's Peak) in the North Central Region of the state of Jinotega, Nicaragua.
The rich deep topsoil along the mountainside is ideal for growing not only coffee but an assortment of fruits and vegetables. It imparts incredibly interesting flavors to the coffee. There is an abundance of water coming from many streams originating from the mountaintop forming common creek, thus the name Agua Fresca (Fresh Water) at 4,500 feet above sea level.
